It’s a big week in Cyber City! There’s a ghost on the loose, a brand-new game in the Cyber Arcade, and if a few buildings and areas look a bit different… that’s on purpose. Here’s everything that happening, starting with the Cyberlingz Halloween event.
Why Cyberlingz Has Special Events
Special events are short, seasonal adventures that pop up in Cyber City for a limited time, like Signal Storm in September.
Why do we bother? Because good online habits don’t stick from a once-a-year talk. They stick when kids practise them often, in lots of different places. An event takes the instincts from the main game, like spotting what’s changed and staying calm when things speed up, and puts them somewhere new.
And let’s be honest… having something new to look forward to is half the fun!
The Cyberlingz Halloween Event: Trick or Treat
Something’s loose in Cyber City… and it’s left a trail of treats.
Trick or Treat opens on Saturday 24 October and 9am (SA time) and runs until Sunday 01 November. Your child races back to Cyber City through the forest outside the dome, dodging spooky obstacles and collecting treats along the way. It all ends with Halloween The Reveal. (We’re not telling you who’s under the sheet!)
- Who can play: Trick or Treat is part of Cyber+.
- The badge: Finish the event to earn the Trick or Treat badge.
- Not scary: It’s a game of tag, not a fright night. Spooky-cute Halloween all the way.
Quick Scan: A New Free Game In The Cyber Arcade
From today, the Cyber Arcade has its second game, and it’s free for everyone.
An alert pops up on the big screen. A prize that’s too good to be true. A “your account is locked” message. A parcel you have to pay for before it arrives… Your child has a few seconds to tap the right action before the scan bar runs out. Close it? Report it? Call to check?
- 10 alerts a round, 3 shields, and a bonus for being quick.
- 100 alert cards in the Season 01 pack, from scams to sneaky pop-ups.
- A timer switch in the pause menu, so early readers can play at their own pace.
- Bytes for the first three rounds each day, to spend in the Byte Shop.
Pardon The Dust: Cyber City Is Getting A Glow Up
If something looks different the next time you log in, you’re not imagining it. We’re rebuilding Cyber City with a brighter, bolder look, one building at a time. The Cyber Arcade, Mission Tower, Intel Lab, Byte Shop and Badge Vault are all on the list.
We won’t spoil the surprises… but keep an eye on the Badge Vault.
Halloween is almost here, Quick Scan is open, and it’s free for everyone. Head to Cyberlingz and find it in the Cyber Arcade.
Be secure!
